On Saturday 13th August 2022, Andre VA6BGE a radio amateur from Calgary, AB reached the summit of Mist Mountain and became the first to activate this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.


He made 5 contacts in total working on the 15 and 12 metre HF amateur radio bands.

The summit of Mist Mountain peak is 3139 metres (10299 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
