On Wednesday 16th August 2023, Paul VA6MPM, a radio amateur from Innisfail, AB reached the summit of Mount Rae and became the first to activate this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

He made 7 contacts in total working on the 20m amateur radio band.
