On Sunday 7th August 2022 Daniel PY2TDB a radio amateur from Brazil reached the summit of Morro do Couto and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

He made 12 contacts in total working on the 2 metre VHF amateur radio band.
