On Sunday 24th July 2022 Peter VE6FPV a radio amateur from Calgary, AB reached the summit of Mount Aberdeen and became the first to activate this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

He made 8 contacts in total working on the 20 metre HF amateur radio band.
