On Monday 18th July 2022 Mike KD5KC a radio amateur from El Paso, TX reached the summit of Mount Locke and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 32 contacts in total working on the 20, 17 and 15 HF amateur radio bands.
The summit of Mount Locke is 2067 metres (6781 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA groups database.
