On Thursday 6th October 2022, Rod VK1ACE, a radio amateur from Australian Capital Territory reached the summit of Mt Gingera and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

He made 13 contacts in total working on the 40 metre HF amateur radio band.
