Longwood, Saint Helena (SH)
Following Napoleon's death in exile on St. Helena on May 5, 1821, he was buried in the Sane Valley on Saint Helena not far from Longwood. While in exile Napoleon enjoyed walks in this beautiful valley. Napoleon's body lie here until October 15, 1840, when he was exhumed and taken back to France and reburied at the Invalides in Paris.
