Nathanael Greene (8/7/1742 - 6/19/1786) was a Continental major general in the American Revolutionary War best known for his command and tactics in the Southern Campaign (Carolinas, Georgia and Virginia). After the war Greene settled at Mulburry Grove not far from Savannah. The estate was one of many given to Greene as gifts after the war. His remains were moved to Johnson Square in 1900, 114 years after his death.
