On Saturday 6th April 2024 at 07:22 UTC, Jacek SQ8IJR, a radio amateur from Poland, made contact with Henryk SP6OPZ/6 a radio amateur from Poland, who was operating from Natura 2000 Kozioróg w Czernej (SPFF-2720), on the 40m amateur radio band. Henryk made a total of 210 contacts while at the reserve.

It was designated as a Site of Community Importance under the EU's Habitats Directive in 2011 and is part of the Natura 2000 network.
Natura 2000 aims to protect many of Europe's most vulnerable and threatened habitats and species.
