On Saturday 6th April 2024 at 08:56 UTC, Ben DL5OAB, a radio amateur from Germany, made contact with Harry DF7FX/P, a radio amateur from Germany, who was operating from the Nature Park Frau Holle Land - Nature Park Meissner-Kufunger Wald (DLFF-0085), on the 40m amateur radio band.
Geo-Naturpark Frau Holle Land, including Naturpark Meissner-Kufunger Wald, is located in the state of Hesse, covering over 116,000hectares to the south-east of Kassel in Germany. The Naturpark Meissner-Kufunger Wald lies between the Fulda and the Werra river valleys.
Harry was at the summit of Kasseler Kuppe (754 metres asl) while he was at the park and made a total of 20 contacts for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
