Nitama is the new stationmaster cat of Kishi Station east of the city Wakayama.

Nitama succeeded the the former Stationmaster cat Tama after it died June 22. 2015 and found her final resting place next to the station with it's own shrine.

More than 3000 people attended the funeral of Tama.
