On 26 MAR 2015, a gas explosion at 125 Second Avenue destroyed the building and injured at least six.

The explosion in the middle tan colored building also destroyed the apartment of Sopranos actress, Drea de Matteo, in the brick building just to its' left, according to a post she made on her Twitter account.
