On Monday 17h July 2023, JA8XUB/P, a radio amateur from Japan reached the summit of Oosawadake and became the first to activate this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
They made 4 contacts in total working on the 2m amateur radio band.
The summit of Oosawadake is 2820 metres (9252 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
The summit of Oosawadake is in the Shizuoka Prefecture on Honshu Island.
