Ostrov is a castle in the town of the same name in the district of Karlovy Vary. The castle complex consists of a large complex of several buildings of various ages, which is connected on the west side by an eleven-hectare park with a summer house and other small architecture. It was established after the Thirty Years' War by the reconstruction of the older Šlikov residence. It acquired its preserved form during the Classicist reconstruction at the end of the eighteenth century and later modifications. It has been protected as a cultural monument since 1964. After extensive reconstruction in 2012–2014, the chateau buildings serve the needs of the city and the public - town hall, town library, exhibition spaces.
