OSU Memorial Union

The OSU student union building. Includes some great large common areas for quiet study and reflection, meeting rooms and a large cafeteria, as well as the book store. The building has been described as "one of the finest examples of neoclassic architecture in Oregon".

The OSU mascot is the beaver, an animal synonymous with Oregon. Many years before "political correctness" (and perhaps good taste) made sexist jokes a no-no, the cafeteria offered a hamburger called the "Beaver Burger" (on the menu that way!). Wrap your mind around that.
