On Sunday 31st July 2022 Doug PY1II a radio amateur from Brazil reached the summit of Pedra da India and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

He made 13 contacts in total working on the 40 and 15 metre HF amateur radio bands.
