On Sunday 31st July 2022 EA4DON/P Alejandro and EA4DOS/P Elena two radio amateurs from Spain reached the summit of Arroyetas and became the first to activate this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

They made 63 contacts in total working on the 40 and 20 metre HF amateur radio bands.

The summit of Arroyetas is 2559 metres (8396 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA groups database.
