Point Lookout (VK2/NT-002)

On Thursday 12th January 2023, VK3BCM and VK3PXS, two radio amateurs from the state of Victoria, Australia reached the summit of Point Lookout and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

They made 8 contacts in total working on the 2 metre VHF and the 40 metre HF amateur radio bands.

The summit of Point Lookout is 1565 metres (5135 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
