On Thursday 12th January 2023, VK3BCM and VK3PXS, two radio amateurs from the state of Victoria, Australia reached the summit of Round Mountain and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

They made 11 contacts in total working on the 40 and 20 metre HF amateur radio bands.

The summit of Round Mountain is 1579 metres (5180 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
