On Sunday 15th October 2023, Jo F/I1WKN/P, a radio amateur from Italy, reached the summit of Pointe de Bellecombe and became the first to activate this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

He made 39 contacts in total working on the 70cm, 2m, 6m and 20m amateur radio bands.
