On Saturday 30th March 2024 at 13:07 UTC, Zdenko 9A4FM, a radio amateur from Croatia, made contact with Martin OK1MDX/P, a radio amateur from the Czech Republic, who was operating from PP Orlovická hora (OKFF-2007), on the 20m amateur radio band.
PP Orlovická hora (OKFF-2007)[Orlovická mountain], is a protected area of 0.3278 hectares near the village of Pocinovice in the district of Domažlice in the Czech Republic. It was established in 1990 as a Nature Monument and is an IUCN Management Category III area.
An IUCN Management Category III area is set aside to protect a specific natural monument. Examples of natural monuments include a landform, sea mount, submarine cavern, geological feature e.g. a cave or a living feature e.g. an ancient grove. These areas are often quite small but have a high visitor value.
