On Monday 1st April 2024 at 13:32 UTC, Jürgen ON3UA, a radio amateur from Belgium, made contact with Jan OM2JU/P, a radio amateur from Slovakia, who was operating from PR Švibov (OMFF-0744), on the 40m amateur radio band. Jan made a total of 51 contacts while at the reserve.
PR Švibov (OMFF-0744), is a protected area of 3.4200 hectares lying to the north-east of Bratislava in the west of Slovakia. It was designated in 1993 as a Nature Reserve and is an IUCN Management Category IV area.
An IUCN Management Category IV area is an area to protect particular species or habitats and are managed to prioritise this objective.
