On Tuesday 2nd April 2024 at 09:35 UTC, Zdenko 9A4FM, a radio amateur from Croatia, made contact with Radoslaw SQ8HNB/P, a radio amateur from Poland, who was operating from Protected Landscape Area Lasy Stobrowsko-Turawskie (SPFF-0516), on the 40m amateur radio band. Radoslaw made a total of 110 contacts while at the reserve.
Protected Landscape Area Lasy Stobrowsko-Turawskie (SPFF-0516)[Protected Landscape Area "Stobrawsko-Turawskie Forests"], is a protected area of 119,062 hectares located in the Opole Voivodeship to the south-east of Stobrawska in south-west Poland. It was established in 1989 as a Potected Landscape Area and is part of the Natura 2000 network.
Natura 2000 aims to protect many of Europe's most vulnerable and threatened habitats and species.
