On Saturday 15th July 2023, Guido HB9TNF/P, a radio amateur from Switzerland reached the summit of Sassalb / Sassalbo and became the first to activate this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

He made 31 contacts in total working on the 2m and 20m amateur radio bands.
