On Saturday 19th August 2023, Heinrich OE/IW3AGO/P, a radio amateur from Italy, reached the summit of Schwarze Wand and became the first to activate this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

He made 16 contacts in total working on the 2m, 40m and 20m amateur radio bands.
