On Wednesday 15th November 2023, Marcio PY4/PY2TTN, a radio amateur from Sao Paulo, Brazil reached the summit of Serra de São Benedito and became the first to activate this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

He made 13 contacts in total working on the 40m and 10m amateur radio bands.
