On Tuesday 4th October 2022, a group of German radio amateurs using the callsign DL20SOTA/P reached the summit of Siedigkopf and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group. The special callsign “DL20SOTA” was being used to mark the occasion of the 20th anniversary of SOTA om 1st March 2022.

They made 33 contacts in total working on the 40 and 20 metre HF amateur radio bands.

The summit of Siedigkopf is 878 metres (2881 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA groups database.
