On Saturday 5th August 2023, Tetsuya JL1SDA/1, a radio amateur from Japan, reached the summit of Sukaisan and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

He made 9 contacts in total working on the 70cm, 40m and 20m amateur radio bands.
