Kerimov's yacht, Amadea, was seized in May 2022 off the coast of Fiji, as part of an effort to put pressure on Russia to end the war in Ukraine. Ownership of the yacht is being challenged by businessman Eduard Khudainatov, claiming he is the actual owner of the yacht and therefore not subject to sanctions. There are reports that, when the yacht was seized, a Faberge egg was on board, worth tens of millions of dollars.
