On Tuesday 30th August 2022, six radio amateurs licensed in Switzerland, reached the summit of Sustenhorn and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

They made 79 contacts in total working on the 2 metre and the 40, 30 and 20 metre amateur radio bands.

The summit of Sustenhorn is 3503 metres (11493 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
