On Saturday 12th August 2023, Mario F/IU1DOF/P, a radio amateur from Italy, reached the summit of Tête de Sautron and became the first to activate this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

He made 18 contacts in total working on the 2m and 40m amateur radio bands.
