On Saturday 8th July, Atsushi JH7IOT/7, a radio amateur from Japan reached the summit of Takadaoodake and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 9 contacts in total working on the 40m and 15m amateur radio bands.
The summit of Takadaoodake is 1552 metres (5092 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
The summit of Takadaoodake is in the Aomori Prefecture on Honshu Island.
