On Saturday 8th June 2024, Shirasu JM3AVI/0 a radio amateur from Japan, reached the summit of Takatsumayama and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
Shirasu made 7 contacts in total working on the 70cm amateur radio band.
The summit of Takatsumayama is 2353 metres (7720 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
The summit of Takatsumayama is in the Nagano Prefecture on Honshu Island.
