On Sunday 20th August 2023, Ben VK2BNY, a radio amateur from NSW Australia, reached the summit of Tinderry Twin Peak and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

He made 15 contacts in total working on the 40m amateur radio band.
