On Saturday 30th July 2022 Eric AD6VT a radio amateur from Bishop, CA reached the summit of Trail Peak and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

He made 11 contacts in total working on the 2 metre VHF and the 40, 20 and 15 metre HF amateur radio bands.

The summit of Trail Peak is 3542 metres (11621 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA groups database.
