On Sunday 4th September 2022, Christian HB9GIN/P and Manuel HB9DQM/P, two radio amateurs from Switzerland reached the summit of Tschingel and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

They made 61 contacts in total working on the 2 metre VHF and the 40 and 20 metre HF amateur radio bands.

The summit of Tschingel is 2541 metres (8337 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
