The Jurumirim Hydroelectric Power Plant (Armando Avellanal Laydner) is located in the state of São Paulo, formed by the damming of the Paranapanema River. It covers ten municipalities in the center-south of the state, where the municipality of Cerqueira César is located on its right bank and the municipality of Piraju on its left bank, with access via the SP-261.
It was controlled and operated by Duke Energy until 2017, when it was acquired by the Brazilian branch of the Chinese multinational China Three Gorges Corporation (CTG).
