On Thursday 28th March 2024 at 12:30 UTC, Danny ON4VT, a radio amateur from Belgium, made contact with Timo OH1CRT/P, a radio amateur from Finland, who was operating from Viljasen Metsä (OHFF-0921), on the 20m amateur radio band. Timo made a total of 89 contacts while at the reserve.
Viljasen Metsä (OHFF-0921), is a protected area of 14 hectares lying to the south-west of Tampere in the south of Finland. It was designated in 2013 as a Private Nature Reserve and is an IUCN Management Category IV area.
IUCN Management Category IV areas are areas to protect particular species or habitats and are managed to prioritise this objective.
