Volkswagen Type 2 Kombi (T2)

Volkswagen Type 2 Kombi (T2) (StreetView)
The T2 "Kombi" (or "breadloaf", for the body's shape) had an amazingly long run for a cult "classic" automobile in Brazil. While this generation of the dependable minibus was produced in Germany until 1979 (includes U.S. and Canadian-bound vehicles), it has lasted into December 2013 for the Brazilian market. Around the turn of the century, environmental standards on automobiles became stricter and caused the vehicle to move to a water-cooled engine from an air-cooled unit, eventually, together with safety regulations, leading to its downfall due to costs. This model's transaxle, updated for this generation, is sought after by VW compartment-using off-road racers.

This one has an interesting quirk; the owner chose to have the Volkswagen emblem inverted upside-down!
