On Friday 9th September 2022, JE1LHW/0 and JA1CTV/0, two radio amateurs from Japan reached the summit of Washigamine and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

They made 27 contacts in total working on the 40, 17 and 15 metre HF amateur radio bands.
