Lawrence Peter "Yogi" Berra (5/12/1925 - 9/22/2015) was a professional baseball catcher who played 19 seasons (1946-1963, 1965) in Major League Baseball. He was an 18-time All-Star and 10-time World Series champion with the New York Yankees. After retiring, Yogi managed and coached, winning three more championships. In 1972 Berra was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame and his #8 was retired by the Yankees.
