Pools are there in aerial view; and the park is finished in Google Maps

But what is that red area south-east of the plane?
Looks like a lake of lava, but should probably be an artifact...

The white car on the right is a police car, isn't it?

Right, it's the evolution of the CL-215 and they look nearly the same. Great planes anyway, I've seen them many times in action.

It's "Tricolore", one word, and it indicates the Italian national flag ;)

Are you sure? That square looks more pixellate than the rest of the area...

More: if you look at the Google map I've indicated in my previous post you can see, left of the white censored square, a number of "things" looking like the one in this map. Too bad I don't know yet what is that!

I don't know what the heck it is but I see the whole area it's a desert but it's not abandoned.
There are trails and buildings south, southwest from there, and some area looks censored with a white layer: http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&q=Algeria&ie=UTF8&z=18&ll=31.007628,7.966976&spn=0.002087,0.005407&t=k&om=1

The mysterious iPod: case closed!
According to Google Earth Forum, the "earphone" is a natural gas well, and the cable is the road leading to it ;)

Ops. "Earphones".

And I have to be honest, I didn't find the face myself: I've read about it here:

And, btw, it could look as some native american profile, but... it wears the iPod hearphones! ;)

Thanks for the welcome and for the info.
There's another little thing, the correct datation is "18th-15th century B.C."
