The castle has been built by one of famous Gottfried Semper 's students in the mid of the last century in the socalled Tudorstyle. Beauty's sleep is over now, into which it has been forced during the recent past. A complete reconstruction and a rather sensitive renovation has taken place. Castle Eckberg has become an example how to combine under one roof the flair liable to it's history and high standards of service required by a modern hotel.
