Everglades and Francis S. Taylor Wildlife Management Area (KFF-5243)

On Wednesday 20th March 2024 at 19:47 UTC, Jurgen ON3UA a radio amateur from Belgium made contact with WI2X a radio amateur research club from Staten Island, NY which was operating from the Everglades and Francis S. Taylor Wildlife Management Area on the 20m amateur radio band.

Everglades and Francis S. Taylor Wildlife Management Area is managed by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. The area covers parts of 3 counties to the west of Miami and Fort Lauderdale. It offers visitors the opportunity for fishing, hunting and wildlife watching plus miles of levees for hiking and bicycling.
