First Baptist Church in America

Built in built in 1774 and 1775, the congregation for this church goes back to 1638 when Roger Williams fled the state of Massachusetts to establish a colony of religious freedom in Providence, Rhode Island. In addition to Sunday morning services, this beautiful historic landmark is also used for the graduation ceremonies of Brown University.
