Former High Field Railway Station

Former High Field Railway Station (StreetView)
High Field Station was opened January 1859 (first appeared in timetable), closed for passengers 20.9.1954 and closed completely 27.1.1964. High Field Station was part of the Selby & Driffield Railway in England.

Today the stationmaster's house is now a private house. Both platforms are still there, but are heavily overgrown. In the goods yard the cattle dock and approach ramp up to the coal drops are still there, but heavily overgrown. The coal drops have been demolished.

Note: a cycle and walking path called the Old Railway Path now runs through the site of High Field Station and follows most of the railway embankment.
