Hangars #5 and #6 at Lakehurst Naval Airstation

Hangars #5 and #6 are the largest free-standing single arch structures in the world, built entirely of wood - each has 241,000 square feet of floor space. The interior dimensions of each hangar are 1,025' X 235'.

Hangars Nos. 5 and 6 housed either rigid air ships or blimps through the years.

Allot of great pilots and technology has rolled thru those hangars!!!
They remain silent , do their job and don't care for or get recognition
They test , travel and risk everyday ..... They are quiet and professional heroes!!!! Many of their programs have saved us in the last 20 years
God bless them and their quiet heroism. I am honored to know and to have served with them!:)
