John Lee Hooker (August 22, 1917 – June 21, 2001) was a Mississippi blues singer and guitar player who rose to stardom with his gruff voice and his electric guitar-style adaptation of Delta blues. Hooker's best known songs are: "Boogie Chillen'" , "Crawling King Snake" , "Dimples", "Boom Boom", and "One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer" .
