Mount Augustus, or Burringurrah as it is known by the local Wadjari Aboriginal people, is the largest monocline in the world and is 2.5 times larger than Uluru (also known as Ayers Rock), standing 858 metres above the surrounding plain, 1105 metres above sea level and covering 47.95 kmĀ².
