Many years after being a popular brand in the marketplace, several corner pubs in Milwaukee still proudly display Blatz Beer signs. The Valentin Blatz Brewing Company began producing their product here in 1851.
The Blatz brand was sold to Pabst in 1960. The brand would later change hands to Heileman, which was eventually bought out by Stroh's. Pabst reacquired the brand and has a contract with Miller Brewing Company to make it today.
This particular sign is located at Judge's Irish Pub on the city's Upper East Side.
